Bosch WGA244A0TR Washing Machine Left Moldy Odor on My Clothes
On August 12, 2022, I purchased a Bosch washing machine model WGA244A0TR from the Bosch dealership in Balıkesir/Edremit. Everything was fine for the first two months, but then I noticed a moldy odor on my clothes. Thinking it was my fault, I began washing every load three times in a row and tried every detergent and fabric softener available, but the smell persisted. Researching online, I discovered numerous others facing the same issue with the same model. I contacted the service, paid 120 TL for drum cleaning, but the effect lasted only two days. Frustrated, I allowed them to replace the drum, but the problem persisted. The service even suggested sniffing the water in the basin, claiming it smelled. Frustrated with the lack of resolution, I contacted BOSCH customer relations, requesting a change in my machine model with an additional payment, but received no response. I now demand reimbursement for all expenses incurred, including electricity, water, detergent, and softener costs, and seek assistance from Turkish authorities to find a solution, as I don't want to be embarrassed with my hard-earned money in my country. No matter how constructive we wanted to be, unfortunately, the Bosch brand not only never helped us but also stated that they would make a replacement if we paid 10,000 TL for customer satisfaction, and that the replacement would be from the models they offer, not the one we want. This process has exhausted us a lot, but we will never give up on the matter we are right about. I have a few questions; 1- If the laundry did not smell, why did you change the drum of the machine that has not yet completed its first year (it is written that the drum was changed due to noise, by the way)? 2- When your service came to the house, did they take some water in a basin and say, "Look, your water smells," or not? Investigate this. 3- When your regional technician came and smelled the washed laundry, did he detect a normal smell or a moldy smell? Ask him that too.
