Cenk's Thank You Message
“Our grievance was resolved by issuing a refund. I would especially like to thank Mr. Atilla from the Head Office for coming and patiently listening to us.”

Although we were satisfied with our old refrigerator, thinking it wasn't sufficient in size, we purchased a Bosch KGN86AID2N model refrigerator on June 6th. We noticed some of our products molding in the second week after buying the new refrigerator. In the third week, we started measuring by placing 3 different thermometers inside, and we noticed that the refrigerator, set to 2 degrees Celsius, was reading around 6 degrees at its best, mostly 7-8, and 10-11 degrees at its worst. Mysteriously, our thermometers, which the Bosch service ignored, manage to measure 1.6 degrees in our 25-year-old Arçelik refrigerator!

When we reported the situation to Bosch, the service came but said they didn't have a measuring device and could bring one in a week. Meanwhile, our butter, cheese, pickles, various vegetables, yogurt, etc. molded/spoiled. Because the devices were with other customers due to high demand (I'll leave it to you to interpret why there's such high demand).

We called the call center again and requested service that could bring this device; however, despite the service coming 3 times, they came without the device and couldn't perform any operation. Meanwhile, the service's attitude was far from empathetic to the customer. I'm sure if we talked to AI, it would have been a more productive dialogue. We found this situation very unbefitting of the Bosch brand.

As a result of measurements made this week (by placing them in front of the air vents), they claimed the internal temperature of the refrigerator was 3.6 degrees. I tried to explain that this measurement was incorrect with 3 different thermometers, but they didn't understand. When I asked why my products were spoiling, they said it could be due to storage conditions.

I'm also in discussion with the BSH solution center, but they also refuse to accept our complaint, that our products are spoiling, and that there's a problem with the temperature inside the refrigerator. The person we spoke with at the solution center also suggested we review our storage conditions regarding the spoiled products! I thank them for their creativity and customer focus!

I will be taking this matter to the Consumer Arbitration Committee tomorrow. I'm writing here too, hoping that a sensitive, slightly customer-focused, and somewhat analytical authority might see this complaint and provide a solution. I leave the discretion - hopefully - first to the brand, then to the Consumer Arbitration Committee. I will also claim compensation for my financial loss due to spoiled products. Respectfully!

I took the thermometers I use to test my Mom's 25-year-old Arçelik refrigerator over the weekend :) As seen in the videos, while the 25-year-old Arçelik refrigerator has values around 2 degrees, my 3-week-old Bosch refrigerator has a temperature of around 6 degrees even in the 0-degree compartment. For the main compartment, it is around 8 degrees! As a result, temperatures above +4 degrees do not meet the necessary conditions for many foods in the refrigerator. Therefore, our products spoil quickly before their expiration dates. Although your technical service did not take the 3 thermometers I placed in the refrigerator seriously, the results are clear. I invite the Bosch solution center to be scientific in order to not prolong the process any further!

In my previous response, the uploaded videos were not visible. I have added them again.

Upon my insistence, I examined the results of the testo devices placed in the 0-degree compartment together with the technician who came. We observed temperatures ranging between 4-7 degrees. Unfortunately, Bosch still does not accept that the product is defective. Today, a different technician from the headquarters is supposed to come. If no action is taken based on his opinion, I will escalate the matter to the Consumer Arbitration Board.
