Last-Minute Cancellation in Lisbon by Booking.com

My apartment reservation in Lisbon, Portugal through Booking.com was canceled two days before the reservation date while I was in a different country. This disruption during my vacation caused both time and financial loss. The responsible parties only refunded a portion of what I paid. I had to book a more expensive room at the last minute. When I requested a refund of the remaining amount and the difference, they did not even respond to my email. I still have no information on how they will compensate for this situation.
