On December 31, my Binance account was hacked via the API. Within seconds, approximately $18.5 million in trading volume was generated on the BNB/USDT pair, resulting in $7,350 in commissions being charged, and my other open positions were also closed simultaneously. Despite these extraordinary and abnormal activities, Binance did not freeze my account during the incident and only applied restrictions after everything had already occurred. Before the incident, my account balance was $16,330, but as a result of these transactions, it dropped to as low as $125. I have evidence proving that these transactions were carried out via the Binance API without my authorization, including transaction history, API usage logs, and records showing more than 10 transactions per second, a speed at which manual trading is clearly impossible. When I contacted Binance customer support, I was told that they would not take any responsibility, no refund would be issued, and that I should only file a complaint. My account user ID is 110771***. I request that my loss of approximately $16,300 and the unfairly charged commissions be reviewed and refunded, and that a proper investigation into API security and risk controls be conducted, with a written explanation provided to me.
