On December 19, 2025, around 11:00 PM, I joined a livestream on the Bigo Live app hosted by a streamer named “d*”** with the ID d*…**. During the broadcast, the streamer used extremely degrading and insulting language toward me. Because I sent a small amount of gifts, they accused me of being poor, mocked me by saying my daily income was only $0 and that I had sent that entire amount as a gift. They also said, “Hungry losers come to my stream, I want rich people to come to my stream and send me lots of gifts,” which humiliated both me and other viewers in the broadcast. These statements were heard by everyone in the live chat.
Later, when I contacted Bigo Live management, I was asked to provide recordings of these insults as evidence. However, as an ordinary user, it is not reasonable to expect me to know in advance that I should record a livestream. While being insulted is already a violation and a form of disrespect, requiring users to submit recordings and refusing to take action otherwise is unfair.
I request that this insulting broadcast and the related streamer be urgently reviewed by Bigo Live and that the appropriate sanctions be applied. I believe a streamer who categorizes users as poor or rich based on gift amounts and refers to viewers as “hungry losers” should not be allowed to continue behaving this way on the platform. I request that the necessary investigation be conducted and that I be informed of the outcome.
