On December 13, 2025, at 11:31 PM, my Akbank card was cloned, and an online purchase totaling $323 was made on the Bershka website without my knowledge or consent. Although this transaction did not belong to me, it was attempted four times in a row and eventually went through, which raises serious concerns about the security systems of both the bank and the merchant.
As soon as I noticed the incident, I tried to have the transaction canceled before it was processed. However, I was unable to reach Bershka customer service over the weekend, and I could not find any active call center or accessible email address. The fact that there is no reachable support channel during weekends in such an urgent situation significantly worsened the problem and was extremely distressing.
I demand that Akbank immediately cancel the unauthorized $323 charge made from my card and provide a clear explanation of how this security breach occurred. From Bershka, I demand that the order created with this fraudulent transaction be stopped immediately, that the products not be shipped under any circumstances, and that the full amount be refunded to me without delay.
Due to this incident, I am preparing to file a criminal complaint with the prosecutor’s office, and I will closely monitor how both Akbank and Bershka handle this process. I expect all necessary investigations to be carried out and my grievance to be resolved as soon as possible.
