Benetton Refused to Refund for My Child’s Pants and Has Inflexible Return Policy

I have been a loyal customer of Benetton for over a decade. However, my recent experience at a Benetton store in Portugal has completely soured my perception of the brand. Last week, I purchased winter clothing for my child, including pants and a jacket. Unfortunately, the pants were uncomfortable due to a lack of elasticity. Today, I returned to the store to seek a refund or exchange. To my dismay, I was informed of a rigid store policy that allows only exchanges within 30 days of purchase, with no refunds. Despite my attempts to find suitable replacements, I was unable to do so. This inflexible policy is unacceptable and demonstrates a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. I believe such practices should be discouraged, if not outright prohibited. As a result of this negative experience, I have decided to permanently boycott Benetton products.
