Bauhaus Sunfun Parasol Breaks After Just a Few Uses



I purchased a Sunfun Parasol 300 cm umbrella through Bauhaus Online on May 3, 2026. After using it a total of only 3–4 times in Ayvalık/Balıkesir, the umbrella's mechanism broke. The fact that this product failed after such minimal use in such a short time — and couldn't even withstand the slightest wind — seriously disappointed me, both in terms of quality and trust.
After this problem occurred, I called Bauhaus's call center and, as requested, sent photos of the product via WhatsApp. I got a response the same day, telling me that nothing could be done about the product and that no replacement parts were available either. It's unacceptable both that such a flimsy product was sold in the first place and that the company won't stand behind it.
I paid $203 for this umbrella, and I've been left in a difficult position by how quickly it became unusable and by the lack of any solution offered. I'm requesting that Bauhaus stand behind the product it sells, and that a replacement be provided — either the same model or an equivalent, sturdy product — in place of the defective one.
