Bath & Body Works Store Prices Nearly Double Online Prices

Today, we purchased three body sprays from the Bath & Body Works Akasya store. There was a "Buy 3, Pay for 2" promotion in the store, and we paid a total of $78 at checkout after taking advantage of the promotion. When I got home and checked the company's website, I saw that the same products were being sold to members at nearly half the price.

I do not understand how there can be such a significant price difference between the in-store promotion and the online prices for the exact same products, especially when no information about this difference was provided at the store. It does not make sense to pay nearly twice as much for the same product in a physical store.

I would appreciate a reasonable explanation or solution regarding this issue.
