Barclays Bank Credit and Debit Card Fraud Leaves Me Missing $29,375
A total of $29,375 was taken from my account without my authorization through Barclays Bank credit card, debit card, and online banking. These transactions occurred between October 10 and October 24. I live in Istanbul, but the individuals involved contacted us by phone and claimed they were calling from Spain. The callers demanded that we pay an additional $9,400 in order to recover the money that had been withdrawn. Similar calls and transactions have happened before. We have filed a criminal complaint with the public prosecutor’s office regarding this matter.
What we expect from Barclays Bank is the full refund of the $29,375 withdrawn from our account. We request that this matter be investigated urgently and that our financial loss be resolved as soon as possible.
