AXA Insurance Water Leak Claim Denial - Unfair Depreciation on New Items

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the settlement of my insurance claim related to a water leakage incident that caused damage to my workplace. Despite the comprehensive coverage of my policy with AXA Insurance, I have experienced a serious case of unfair treatment and financial loss. All items listed in my claim were brand-new, sealed, and unused products, including customer-owned equipment and labor services provided as part of my technical support operations. All supporting documents and technical service reports were duly submitted to your company. However, the final calculation communicated to me shows that, out of a total claim amount of ₺157,215.20, only ₺115,917.07 was paid, after applying a so-called “20% depreciation deduction” amounting to ₺21,567.54. This deduction has no valid technical or contractual justification, as the items in question were entirely new and had never been in use. For an internationally recognized company such as AXA Insurance, it is deeply disappointing to see such cost-cutting practices take precedence over customer satisfaction and fairness. This approach undermines the credibility and trust that your brand claims to uphold. I hereby request an immediate re-evaluation of my claim, taking into account the provided technical documentation, and the full payment of the claim amount without any unjust depreciation deductions. Failing that, I will escalate this matter to the Insurance Arbitration Commission and the Turkish Ministry of Treasury and Finance – Insurance Regulation and Supervision Authority. Furthermore, I reserve my right to publicly disclose this situation and share my experience through all available consumer rights and media channels.
