Asics Shoes Wore Out Within 6 Months, Denied Warranty Claim
I purchased a pair of Asics sneakers for my daughter from the Istanbul Kurtköy Viaport store. Within 6 months to a year, the fabric on the front of the shoes started tearing. Despite limited use—my daughter is 18 and only wears them occasionally—the shoes wore out far too quickly.
I returned them to the store for inspection, only to be told the damage was due to "user error" and no replacement or refund was provided. I fail to understand how they came to this conclusion, especially given the light use. If the product can’t last even 6 months, why offer a 2-year warranty?
This feels like a manufacturing defect, and I’m disappointed in Asics for not standing behind their product. The inspection reference is 1-21916 if needed. I won’t be purchasing from this brand again. Please address this issue and improve your quality assurance.
As expected, it was said to be user error, so I applied to the Consumer Arbitration Board. Let's see what the result will be.
