ASICS Gel 1130 Shoes Peeling Within One Month And Warranty Claim Denied
On March 1, 2026, I purchased ASICS Gel 1130 sneakers from the ASICS store in Hilltown Mall, Istanbul, based on the recommendation of a store employee, for my daughter to use while playing volleyball. The shoes cost $240 and were only used on weekends, for about one hour each day, in an indoor sports hall. Despite this limited and careful use, peeling started to appear on both the toe and ankle areas within approximately one month.
When I mentioned the high price at the time of purchase, the staff assured me that the product came with a 2-year warranty and would be worth the cost. After experiencing this issue, I sent the shoes for warranty inspection on April 10, 2026. However, the result came back negative, stating that the issue was not caused by the manufacturer.
I followed up by phone and explained that the shoes had only been worn 7–8 times, exclusively indoors on a clean surface. Despite clearly stating that the issue was not caused by misuse, no solution was offered.
I cannot accept that a product worn only a few times deteriorated this quickly and that the brand does not stand behind its product. For invoice number 1-r-7-3258128, I request that my grievance be resolved by replacing the shoes with a new pair or providing an appropriate refund or exchange solution.
