Arçelik Technician Came Drunk And Failed To Install the Dryer
I purchased a 10 kg clothes dryer from Arçelik, and during the installation process, I was informed that the technician would visit between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. At 5:50 PM, the technician called me and said, “I have too many visits today, I can’t make it to you, can we come another day?” After a long conversation, I got tired of insisting and said okay. Then I called the main office, and they told me after speaking with the team, “They’ll be there in 15 minutes.” Shortly after, the technician called again and said, “If you wanted the service, why did you tell me that?” When I tried to explain, he hung up the phone on me. Later, the team arrived, and one of them smelled of alcohol. When I asked what he had drunk, he said, “I just came from home, I only had one beer.” They brought the machine inside but forgot the installation part, so they couldn’t complete the setup. What if I hadn’t been home and only my wife was there? It’s unacceptable for someone to come to my house under the influence of alcohol—especially from such a big company. How can I ever trust Arçelik service to enter my home again?
