Apple Refused to Replace My MacBook Pro Battery Without Fixing Cosmetic Damage

I have a 2021 MacBook Pro 16" with an M1 Pro processor. Recently, the battery displayed a service warning. Since the replacement cost of around ₺10,000 (approximately $277) is well-known, I took it to Başarı Teknik Servis in Ankara. When I dropped it off, they noted scratches and minor impact marks on the case. I confirmed that it had been dropped once, and they mentioned that while the battery might need replacement, the lower case could also require repair. Later, they informed me that they couldn’t replace the battery alone; they had to replace the entire lower case, including the aluminum body and keyboard, for ₺25,000 (approximately $694). I asked if the scratches affected the battery, but they said it was simply Apple’s procedure to replace all reported damage. Despite explaining that I had no complaints about the case or keyboard and only wanted the battery replaced, they refused due to company policy. I contacted Apple Turkey Support, and after a day and a half of communication, they confirmed that they wouldn’t replace the battery without repairing the cosmetic damage. They claimed to be the final authority and directed me to a feedback form, warning there was no guarantee of a response. Essentially, instead of resolving the issue with a battery replacement for ₺10,000, Apple insists I pay ₺25,000 to fix cosmetic damage that has no impact on functionality. They’re pushing me to pay nearly one-fifth the price of a new device for something unnecessary. How can you force customers to accept and pay for a service they don’t need?
