Apple Refused to Repair My iPhone 15 Pro Max Despite Offering to Fix It for a Fee
I have been a customer who purchases the new iPhone model launched every year. Most recently, I visited the Apple Zorlu Center store yesterday regarding my 15 Pro Max, which had a broken back cover and a screen with display issues. They stated that they would replace the back cover for a fee, while the front screen would be replaced under warranty. After waiting an additional 1.5 hours beyond the given repair time, the device was returned to me without any work being done. They explained that the screen had water damage, which caused the issue, and therefore, they couldn't replace it. Up to this point, I can accept that the fault may be mine. However, the company, which was supposed to replace the back cover for a fee, refused to do so because of the screen issue. Despite explaining that I had traveled 1000 km for this, and kindly requesting them to at least replace the back cover for the fee, they declined and instead offered to replace the entire device for ₺50,000. As a customer who has purchased every model from the iPhone 4s series onwards, I also asked for some support under a customer loyalty program, but the result was disappointing. My first action was to cancel the order for the 16 Pro Max that I had placed on Apple's website. I hereby declare that I will never purchase any products from this brand again (despite being a user of iMac, AirPods, Apple TV, and MacBook).
