Apple Refused to Refund App Purchase and Ignored Turkish Consumer Protection Laws

Apple disregards Turkish consumer protection laws and enables applications to make unfair profits at our expense. Instead of safeguarding consumers, Apple takes money from us for transactions made by mistake and makes decisions that violate our legal rights. In Turkey, consumer rights guarantee an unconditional refund within 14 days, yet Apple ignores these laws, prioritizing the profits of applications that seize people’s money without permission. When asked for a refund, they simply respond with “non-refundable” without explaining which law or contract justifies this, despite multiple written requests.
Even when an app was canceled within three days, they refused to issue a refund, and it took us an entire year to get our money back. Their attitude is dismissive, as if saying “get well soon” is enough to resolve the issue. Furthermore, they showed no concern when I informed them that they had deducted money from a child who relies on social services for support, taking away a child's food money and their rights. Apple seems indifferent to laws, children’s rights agreements, and basic human rights, establishing a system in Turkey that enables unfair profits. They charge consumers for unused applications and continue to profit unethically. I am filing a complaint against Apple for facilitating unfair financial practices in Turkey.
