Unauthorized Charges On Closed Amazon Account
I am writing regarding my Amazon Prime membership, which was cancelled around December 12, 2025, yet I have been charged $14.99 per month for the last three months, totaling $44.97. These charges appeared even though the Prime account was already cancelled and I was no longer using the service. The account is associated with the phone number 630/631-4941. I first noticed the unwanted charges in December 2025, when I saw that $14.99 was still being billed. Since then, the same amount has continued to be taken for the following months, adding up to $44.97 in total. This is especially frustrating because the membership was cancelled in November/December, and I did not authorize any continuation of Prime. I have contacted Amazon customer service several times about this issue. I was told that I would receive an email confirming the payment and that I should see the refund within 15 days, but this has not happened. On other occasions, I have been told that the card number used for these charges is not on my account, and therefore they cannot help me. This situation leaves me in the middle: I am being charged, but no one is taking responsibility or providing a clear solution. I request a full refund of the wrongly charged amount of $44.97, written confirmation that my Prime membership is fully cancelled and will not be billed again, and a detailed investigation into how these charges occurred after cancellation, especially given that the card being charged is supposedly not visible on my account. I kindly ask that this matter be resolved promptly and in writing so that I can be sure it will not happen again.
