Cannot Access Old Amazon Account to Stop Orders or Delete It
I am writing regarding an old Amazon shopping account that I can no longer access and that appears to still be active. This week, an order for cat food was sent to an old gift recipient’s address that I had used years ago, even though I have since opened a new Amazon account and only want to use the new one. I forgot the password for the old account, and when I tried to reset it, I was asked to verify using a phone number that is not mine. Because of this, I cannot log in, cannot manage any settings, and cannot stop any possible auto-shipments or charges linked to that account. I have also been unable to reach a live person through customer service to sort this out. My clear request is that my old Amazon account, registered in Mississippi, be completely and permanently deleted, including any auto shipments, subscriptions, or Prime memberships connected to it, so that I am not paying for two Prime accounts. I only want to keep and use the new account that I created last week. I ask that you confirm the closure and make sure no further orders or charges can be made from the old account.
