Ajet Delayed My Baggage and Spoiled My Items

Dear Ajet Customer Service, I am filing an official complaint regarding the mishandling of my checked baggage on my journey from Baku to Brussels via Istanbul. My suitcase did not arrive with my flight in Brussels and was only delivered the following day. As a result of this delay, the perishable food items packed in my baggage spoiled. They leaked inside the suitcase and damaged my personal belongings. I was forced to throw the spoiled items away, and my clothes and other possessions were affected as well. This situation caused me serious distress and financial loss. I would like to emphasize that the spoilage and damage were a direct consequence of your failure to deliver my baggage on time. If the suitcase had arrived as scheduled, this issue would not have occurred. According to the Montreal Convention (1999), the carrier is liable for damage caused by the delay of baggage, unless it proves that it took all reasonable measures to avoid such damage. Attached you will find photos of the suitcase, the leakage, and the damaged items. I demand: Compensation for the spoiled food and the damaged belongings; Compensation for the moral and financial inconvenience caused by this incident. I expect your prompt response and a fair settlement in accordance with the Montreal Convention.
