I’m Furious with Airbnb Over Fake Damage Charge in Lisbon Rental
I’m absolutely furious about how Airbnb handled my recent stay in Lisbon from December 30 to January 10. The host sent me a photo claiming there was a burn on the edge of the bed’s headboard and demanded 300€ from me. This accusation is completely untrue—I have no idea how any burn could have happened, and I certainly didn’t cause one. When I disputed the charge, Airbnb shockingly sided with the host and said they would collect the money, leaving me feeling trapped and betrayed. I suspect the host is retaliating because I left an honest review. It’s unacceptable for Airbnb to simply trust the host’s word without verifying the facts. I’m calling on Airbnb to investigate thoroughly, reverse this unjust fee, and protect guests like me from baseless claims that threaten to ruin our travel experiences.
