Airbnb Charged Me More Than My Invoice and Won’t Explain the Extra Amount
I booked a stay on Airbnb with the confirmation code HM8MY9A M2T. The invoice clearly states that I was charged ₺38,446.63, but when I checked my bank statement, I saw that Airbnb actually withdrew ₺39,774.71—that’s over ₺1,300 more than what was shown on the official receipt.
How is this even possible? You can’t just charge more than the amount listed on the invoice. If there are additional fees or currency differences, I should be informed and asked for consent before the charge is made. Instead, I was misled by the invoice and overcharged without warning.
