Agoda Refuses Refund After Reducing Hotel Reservation from 3 Days to 2 Days

On 09/29/2024, I made a 3-day hotel reservation but needed to change it to 2 days just 2 hours later due to unforeseen reasons. The system instructed me to contact the hotel directly, which I did. The hotel assured me that they would adjust the reservation to 2 days and that I wouldn’t be charged for the 3rd day. However, Agoda has refused to refund the payment for the 1 day I’m no longer staying. My new check-out date was changed to 10/02/2024 from the original 10/03/2024, but Agoda still insists on keeping the full 3-day payment. This is unfair, and I request that Agoda promptly refund me for the unused day.
