Agoda Listed Deluxe Room but Hotel Delivered Low Standard Stay




I made a reservation through the Agoda application for a Deluxe Room at Hotel Moonlight in Kathmandu, Nepal, under the name Gonul Ozgu*** with booking ID 648742651, for 3 nights between 20–23 April 2026, for which I paid a total of 360 USD. However, the room and overall quality of the stay were far from what can be considered “deluxe.” In every aspect, from general condition and comfort to the facilities and service, the room did not match the standard and quality level that is advertised as a deluxe category. Due to this mismatch between what was promised on Agoda and what I actually received at the hotel, I contacted Agoda and the hotel about the issue, but I have not received any response so far. The lack of communication has increased my disappointment, as I expected at least an explanation or a solution proposal. Considering that the room I stayed in did not correspond to the deluxe standard I paid for, I am requesting a partial refund of 180 USD as compensation for the difference in quality and for the unpleasant experience. I kindly ask that this situation be reviewed and that my refund request be processed as soon as possible.
