I Face Overheating and Touchscreen Issues on My Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G After Auto Update

July 11, 2025 1:54 PM59

I’ve been using a Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G and had disabled automatic system updates from the settings. Despite that, my phone updated itself without my permission. Right after this forced update, serious issues began. The device now overheats constantly, even with basic use, and the touchscreen has started acting up — it either lags or doesn’t respond correctly when I tap or swipe.

This is completely unacceptable. I had intentionally disabled system updates for a reason, and Xiaomi went ahead and ignored my settings. Now I’m left with a phone that doesn’t function properly and gets uncomfortably hot during normal use.

Xiaomi, I expect you to take responsibility for this and fix it immediately. Either push a rollback option or provide a solution to restore the phone’s performance. Users should not have to suffer for updates they didn’t ask for. I paid for this device expecting stability, not post-update problems. Please address this issue promptly before it worsens.
