WhatsApp Security Concern After Suspicious Call from Cameroon Number

On April 30, 2026, at around 8:17 PM, I received a video call on WhatsApp from an unknown foreign number with the country code +237. After researching online, I found that this code belongs to Cameroon, a country with which I have no personal or business connection. Receiving a call from an unfamiliar international number like this made me seriously uncomfortable and concerned, so I immediately blocked the number.

I do not consent to any of my WhatsApp account information or phone number being shared with third parties under any circumstances. I want to clearly state that I do not accept any legal or financial responsibility in the event that my personal data—such as my phone number, messages, photos, or private information—is accessed, misused, or used without my permission. This includes, but is not limited to, fraudulent activities such as opening accounts, making purchases, or creating debts in my name.

I request that my account and personal data be thoroughly reviewed from a security perspective. I also ask that calls from suspicious or unknown international numbers be blocked and that I be informed if any potential risk or breach is detected. I believe WhatsApp is responsible for ensuring the security of my account, and I expect this issue to be taken seriously.
