Western Union Money Marked Delivered but Never Received
I tried to collect money that had been sent to me through Western Union using Garanti Bank's mobile banking service. The system showed an error during the transaction, but the transaction was nevertheless marked as “withdrawn.” However, the money never appeared in my Garanti Bank account, while Western Union's system also shows the transfer as “delivered.” In other words, the money is nowhere to be found, yet both systems have recorded the transaction as if everything had been completed successfully.
The incident occurred on September 14, and even after five days, no clear solution has been provided. I submitted a request through Garanti Bank's mobile banking channel and repeatedly visited the branch to explain the situation. At the branch, I was told that there was no incoming payment, transaction record, or account activity associated with my name in their system, and a case was opened. However, no concrete action has been taken since then, and I have not received a satisfactory response from either Garanti Bank or Western Union. As a customer facing a serious financial loss and uncertainty, I cannot accept this level of inaction and delay.
I request that the transferred amount either be refunded in full to the sender immediately or credited to my Garanti Bank account without further delay. I also request a clear explanation of the source of this error, a thorough investigation of the matter, and an urgent resolution of the inconvenience and financial loss I have experienced.
