Repeated Western Union Withdrawal Issues at Garanti Bank
On October 2, 2025, around 10:00 AM, I went to the Garanti Bank Kartal branch to withdraw the money sent to me via Western Union. However, the staff told me they couldn’t release my funds because I didn’t have an account with the bank, and that I would need to wait until later. They also claimed there was a “system error” and kept me waiting for about an hour. The employees were inattentive and even made dismissive remarks, which made the experience even more frustrating.
Because I couldn’t withdraw my money, I was unable to make several urgent payments and suffered a significant inconvenience. This isn’t the first time I’ve faced the same issue at this particular branch. When I contacted customer service, they offered no real help — they only said, “We understand, but there’s nothing we can do.”
I request that my complaint be taken seriously and that this issue be resolved as soon as possible. I expect accountability for the unprofessional behavior at the branch and compensation for the inconvenience I experienced.
