Vodafone - Unauthorized Plan Change
Approximately 8 months before my contract expired, Vodafone customer service called me at 15:49 on 2.11.2023. The representative claimed my contract had ended and offered another plan. Thinking my time wasn’t up yet, I declined, asking not to be called again until the time was right. The representative said I could be called later, but their current offer wouldn’t be valid then. I reiterated that I didn't want to change plans and asked to be called later. Shortly after hanging up, I received SMS messages about plan changes without my consent. It was a struggle to reach customer service, and I demanded to listen to the conversation recording and cancel the transaction. Vodafone made it difficult, stating they would call me back within 2 days, at worst in 8 days, and if I didn’t receive a call, I should contact them again. I indicated my urgency due to an upcoming trip abroad, but I haven't received a response yet. I've been a Vodafone customer for 15 years and now I'm investing time and effort to rectify an unauthorized action. Vodafone is pushing customers away. If they don't fix this immediately, I won't just switch my service; I'll escalate this to the Consumer Court.
