I’m constantly getting a Van restriction error in Valorant, and it's making the game completely unplayable. The issue seems to be linked to my motherboard, which shows up as “Default string” under system information. Since I’m using a prebuilt desktop with no access to the internal components, I can’t physically inspect the motherboard to fix or update anything directly.
I’ve already tried searching for help online but couldn’t find any useful guides. I used both CPU-Z and HWiNFO to gather my hardware details. Here’s what I know:
Chipset: Intel H410 (Comet Lake PCH-V)
CPU: Intel Core i5-10400, 10th Gen (LGA 1200, 6 cores / 12 threads)
Base Clock: 2.9 GHz, Turbo Boost up to 4.3 GHz
Integrated GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630
Despite having this information, I still don’t know how to fix the Van restriction error. The motherboard being labeled “Default string” seems to be part of the issue, possibly causing Vanguard to misidentify or block my system.
I’ve done nothing wrong, and this is extremely frustrating as it’s preventing me from playing a game I’ve invested time and money into. Riot Games must provide better support for users facing this common problem. Please guide me through a solution that doesn’t require physical access to the hardware. A patch or setting update from Riot would be greatly appreciated.
