Transavia Lost My Luggage and Ignored My Claim for More Than 8 Days

On September 25, 2025, I traveled from Ankara to Paris with Transavia Airlines. Upon arriving at Paris Orly Airport, one of our checked bags did not appear on the baggage carousel.

At first, we assumed there had simply been a delay in unloading the luggage. However, while waiting, we noticed that many other passengers were experiencing the same problem. Staff members at Orly Airport informed us that the issue was related to baggage not being loaded onto the aircraft. We were provided with a baggage claim form and a QR code and were assured that the missing luggage would be delivered within 48 hours at the latest.

Unfortunately, the missing suitcase contained clothing, personal hygiene products, valuable jewelry, and cosmetic items with an estimated value of approximately €2,000. Because we were at the beginning of our vacation and had no access to these essential belongings, we were forced to repurchase many necessary items while staying in Paris.

After 48 hours, then 72 hours, and even 96 hours, there was still no update regarding the location of our baggage. Due to our travel itinerary, we were required to leave Paris and continue our trip through other countries and cities. At no point during our journey did we receive any information regarding the whereabouts of our luggage.

After returning to Ankara at the end of our vacation, we visited the Havaş Lost and Found Office at Esenboğa Airport. The staff there informed us that they were also unable to reach Transavia and advised that the baggage would be forwarded to our home if it was eventually located.

Despite submitting baggage claims and contacting Transavia through every available communication channel—including the baggage claim system, the airline's website, X (formerly Twitter), and WhatsApp—we have received absolutely no response. None of our messages have been answered, no updates have been provided, and no explanation has been offered regarding the missing baggage.

We also became aware that approximately 30 other passengers from the same flight experienced similar baggage issues. Throughout this process, all efforts to locate the baggage and obtain information have come from passengers themselves. Transavia has failed to communicate, provide updates, or offer any meaningful assistance.

Our baggage claim reference numbers are ORYTO37139 and ORYTO37123.

More than eight days have now passed, and our baggage remains missing. I respectfully request the immediate location and delivery of our luggage. In addition, due to the emergency purchases we were forced to make in Paris, I request compensation of €2,000 for the losses and expenses incurred.

I also request a detailed explanation regarding the handling of this case, a formal apology for the lack of communication and support, and a prompt resolution of this matter in accordance with applicable passenger and baggage rights regulations.
