Toyota C-HR Hybrid Auto Hold Turns Off Every Time I Restart The Car
The Auto Hold (brake hold) feature in my 2026 Toyota C-HR Hybrid automatically turns itself off every time I shut down the vehicle. As a result, I have to manually reactivate the feature every single time I start the car again. Especially in heavy city stop-and-go traffic, this creates a serious usability issue because a function designed for comfort and safety should remain active continuously based on the driver’s preference.
This problem has existed since the very first day I purchased the vehicle. When I reported the issue to the authorized Toyota service center, I was simply told to check the owner’s manual. I carefully reviewed the manual and even downloaded and searched through the digital version online, but I could not find any information stating that the Auto Hold function is intentionally limited in this way.
I request that Toyota provide a software update or permanent solution that allows the Auto Hold function to remain continuously active according to the driver’s preference instead of resetting every time the ignition is turned off.
I also expect Toyota to provide a clear and transparent explanation regarding this issue and, if possible, implement a permanent improvement that benefits all Toyota C-HR Hybrid users experiencing the same inconvenience.
