Boyner Denies Refund for Defective $186 Timberland Sneakers Citing User Error

On June 20, 2025, I purchased a pair of Timberland sneakers from the Boyner store located in Maltepe Hilltown Shopping Center. The tag price of the shoes was $186. Despite using the product strictly for normal, everyday wear, a blowout and deformation occurred in the heel area—specifically the back section—within a short period of time.

Following this issue, I dropped off the product at the store for inspection; however, as a result of the initial evaluation, my return or exchange request was rejected under the claim of "user error." Nevertheless, I pursued the process and submitted the product for a second inspection, which was also concluded negatively. Currently, the product has been sent for a third inspection, and the process is still ongoing.

It is completely abnormal for a shoe to deform in this manner within such a short timeframe, especially under normal use, and it cannot be explained away as user error. I strongly believe this situation is clearly a defect stemming from the product itself, and I consider the handling of this process by Boyner to be negative and biased against the consumer.

My demand is that the product be evaluated under defective goods coverage, that a full refund or product exchange be granted, and that the hardship I experienced be resolved. Otherwise, I would like to state that I will exercise my legal rights and apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee. I demand the immediate resolution of my grievance.
