A few years ago, I purchased a pair of North Face shoes from an official store as a gift for my sister. Known for their high-quality outdoor products and premium pricing, I expected durability. However, after just three years and approximately 50 uses in urban conditions, the shoes have deteriorated to the point where they are worse than a cheap, unbranded pair from a market.
I took the shoes back to the store, and while the staff acknowledged the issue, they dismissed my complaint by stating that the warranty period had expired, so nothing could be done. Essentially, they implied that North Face products are only meant to last two years, after which customers should feel lucky for any additional use.
It’s disappointing and unacceptable for a brand that markets itself as high-end. I plan to escalate this issue by sending photos and a letter to North Face Turkey’s senior management, as well as VF Corporation. Let’s see if they prioritize customer satisfaction or adhere to an outdated “sold and done” mindset. I expected much more from this brand.
