The North Face Rain Jacket Membrane Peeling Off – Lifetime Warranty Issues

The membrane on my The North Face Hyvent rain jacket, which provides the waterproof feature, started peeling off in less than 2 years! I haven't machine washed it, hand washed it, or cleaned it in any way, yet it's losing its functionality on its own. Is this really how The North Face’s lifetime warranty works? From what I've read on international forums, hundreds of people have faced this issue, and their jackets were replaced without question. Is this the service we get from The North Face Turkey after paying a premium for quality? This is truly disappointing.
