I am writing to report a serious security issue with my Telegram account. On April 30, my account was suddenly frozen, and when I attempted to log back in, the app indicated that an additional password had been set on the account. I have never enabled two-step verification or created any extra password, so I believe my account has been hacked and taken over without my consent.
Since this incident, I have been completely locked out of my account. Every time I try to log in using my phone number, I receive a message about the additional password. Because I did not create this password, it appears that someone else enabled it and restricted my access.
I contacted Telegram support regarding this issue, but I have not received any response so far. During this time, I remain unable to access my account, and I am concerned about how my data and contacts may be used by whoever has taken control of it. This account has only been used with the free version of Telegram, and I have not made any payments or subscriptions.
My primary request is to regain access to my account and have the unauthorized additional password removed so I can safely use my number again. If restoring access is not possible, I request that the compromised account be permanently deleted so that I can create a new Telegram account using the same phone number.
I ask that this situation be reviewed urgently, that my account be secured, and that I be informed about the actions taken as soon as possible.
