Tefal GV7830 Steam Iron Stopped Heating and Replacement Part Delayed 3 Months
I have a Tefal GV7830 steam generator iron. Recently, the "no water" indicator started turning on, and the iron stopped heating, even though it had water in it. Occasionally, the issue would resolve on its own. I took it to the authorized technical service, where they informed me that a cable between the lower and upper body had failed, requiring the upper body to be replaced. However, they said the part would need to be imported, taking at least three months to arrive. The cost is ₺2800, and they mentioned that there might be a price increase at the beginning of the year but offered no clear information. I’ve decided to take my iron back and discard it, opting instead to buy a new one from a different brand. This experience has taught me a lesson, and I’m sharing it here to inform others considering a Tefal electronic device.

I called customer service on 07.11.2024 at 11:10 and spoke with Ms. Şeyma. In response to the complaint, one expects a solution. However, their responses were as follows: our prices may change after the new year. We cannot intervene in the service time either; the repair process may take up to 3 months. I already heard these from the service, and when I asked why you called me, I didn't get an answer. In other words, they called just to say they called. As a result, we have learned our lesson. If your Tefal product breaks down, don't expect any service support.
