New Balance Shoes Hurt After Wash - SuperStep Rejects Exchange
I bought a pair of New Balance sports shoes from the SuperStep store on 04.11.2025. The shoes were washed only once in cold water, and after this wash the hard parts at the back and sides started to dig into my feet and cause discomfort while walking. Before the wash there was no such problem, and I used the shoes normally. I sent the product for inspection, but the result came back as “user error” and my request for an exchange was not accepted. I do not agree with this decision because the shoes were washed only once in cold water and such a problem should not occur in a quality product after such limited and careful use. I request that my shoes be re-evaluated, and that my demand for a product exchange, or an equivalent fair solution, be accepted so that I can use the product comfortably without pain. If my justified demand is not met and the decision is not changed in my favor, I am considering taking the matter to the consumer court to seek my rights.
Progress
I bought a New Balance men’s sports shoe in November from the Superstep store in Muğla Bodrum Midtown Shopping Mall. Although I washed the shoes only once in cold water, I started to experience a stinging and discomfort in the heel and side parts. This situation makes it difficult to use the shoes comfortably.
Because of this problem, I sent the product twice for inspection, but both applications were rejected. When I wanted to send it for the third time, they did not even accept the product. I also have the invoice and purchase information for this transaction.
I find it unacceptable that a product in this price range and brand causes such discomfort after such short and careful use, and that my inspection requests are rejected. I request that my shoes be replaced with a fault-free product as soon as possible, taking into account my consumer rights and the problems I have clearly stated.
The brand doesn't take responsibility. The shoes turned out to be trash, they're not wearable. They sell low-quality products.
