The Superprof platform has serious issues in terms of user experience and reliability. Many lesson listings shown as “New” are actually several years old and completely outdated. For example, listings that still display old prices such as ₺50 per hour remain active, yet when you contact the tutors, they state that the current rate has increased — in some cases up to ₺800. This clearly shows that the platform does not regularly monitor or update its content and allows misleading listings to remain visible.
A more serious issue occurred during my membership process. The platform states that “Payment will only be taken once the tutor accepts your request,” which gives users a false sense of security. However, the payment was taken immediately after I entered my banking details — before any tutor accepted my request. This is highly misleading and raises concerns about user transparency and trust. Additionally, unless you manually cancel it, the platform continues to automatically withdraw this fee every month without prior notification.
Furthermore, Superprof’s claim of “unlimited lesson requests” is not true. There is actually a daily request limit, and when that limit is reached, users must email Superprof to request a reset. Despite sending such an email myself, three days have passed with no response. This proves that the so-called daily system is technically and operationally dysfunctional.
Instead of operating as a transparent, student-focused service, Superprof functions like an unregulated revenue system that prioritizes passive income over user trust. The site is not properly maintained, its content is outdated, and customer support is limited to email communication, which makes it almost impossible to reach a real representative after payment is made.
