Stayforlong Booking Error Forced Me to Pay Twice at the Hotel

I made a reservation through stayforlong.com for Elite World Grand Istanbul Küçükyalı for the dates December 20–21, 2025, with reservation number Y524195O, and I paid the full room price of $125 in advance to Stayforlong. When I arrived at the hotel, the reception informed me that although the reservation appeared in their system, it had already been canceled and no payment had been received, which forced me to pay again in order to stay.

I did not cancel the reservation, and at that moment I had just arrived from abroad and was extremely tired. I had no choice but to purchase the last remaining room again at a higher price so that I could stay at the hotel. A new reservation was created in the hotel’s system under the number 1031415616 for that second booking.

After this incident, I contacted stayforlong.com via email and explained the situation in detail. They asked me to provide the receipt and payment proof for the amount I paid directly to the hotel, and I submitted all requested documents completely. While corresponding with their Turkey team, I also included their international email addresses in English so they would be informed about the issue. They told me they had contacted their agency partner and that my refund would be processed once they received a response, but even though about 48 days have passed, no concrete action has been taken.

Throughout these 48 days, despite sending multiple emails, reminding them repeatedly about the issue, and providing all evidence, I have only received stalling responses such as apologies and “we are investigating and will get back to you.” Neither their global team nor their Turkey team has demonstrated a clear intention to resolve the problem. When I had a similar issue on another platform, the refund was issued the very next day along with compensation points, but Stayforlong’s unresponsive and delaying approach has caused me serious inconvenience and frustration.

At this point, I no longer want to hear empty promises or apologies. My request from stayforlong.com is the immediate refund of the $125 I paid for the Elite World Grand Istanbul Küçükyalı stay on December 20–21, 2025, which I have clearly proven with documentation was wrongfully retained from me. I expect the refund without further delay, and I sincerely hope that I never have to deal with this company again.
