Solgar Magnesium Glycinate Caused Severe Pain, Vomiting, and Near Hospitalization

I bought Solgar Magnesium Glycinate from a pharmacy, trusting the brand’s reputation, but it turned into the worst health experience of my life. I took the supplement intermittently over a few days, and although I had persistent nausea, I never connected it to Solgar at first. The symptoms escalated—zero appetite, severe nausea, numbness, and headaches. I even had to go to the ER one night, where they ran tests, gave me an injection, and considered IV fluids. Still, I had no idea Solgar could be the cause.
That changed the night I took the supplement again. Within 10–15 minutes, I was in unbearable pain—stomach cramping, intense intestinal spasms, cold sweats, pressure, and vomiting. I couldn’t move from the pain. It felt like my guts were twisting. I barely avoided blacking out and had explosive diarrhea and full-body collapse. The reaction was so extreme that I genuinely thought I might die.
