Skoda sold me a new Octavia with infotainment system crashes, how can I get this fixed permanently?

Infotainment crashes in the Octavia are widely reported and usually linked to buggy MIB software or a defective control/display unit, not something a simple reset fixes long-term.

Owners describe random reboots, audio loss, and system failures, with root causes often traced to software instability or failing hardware modules.

A temporary reset (holding the power button or doing a full system restart) can stabilize it briefly, but even guides note this only clears glitches and does not solve underlying faults if they persist.

For a permanent fix, you need to push the dealer for official diagnosis, software update, or hardware replacement under warranty, because newer firmware versions or updated control units have resolved the issue for many cases.

In some documented cases, only replacing the infotainment screen/control unit fully stopped crashes when software updates failed.

This is the information we have, but if you have more insights from your experience, please share in the comments.
