Skoda Kodiaq Owners Report Chronic Apple CarPlay Disconnection Issues
June 27 2:19 PM

Since the very first day I got my 2023 Skoda Kodiaq, I've been having problems with Apple CarPlay. Even though the vehicle has the CarPlay feature, I simply cannot use it without issues, and this situation has now become seriously frustrating.
The problem I'm experiencing is constant disconnection, whether I use CarPlay wirelessly or wired. When I spoke with the authorized reps, I was told I needed to connect via cable, but even when I use a wired connection, the connection drops on its own roughly every half hour. Even after replacing the cable and trying different cables, the outcome hasn't changed — the same problem persists. I can't understand why I'm being forced to constantly use a wired connection in a vehicle that has CarPlay, or why the connection still doesn't work stably even then.
I've gone to the Skoda authorized service center in Maslak, Istanbul, multiple times about this issue. During my visits, I was told that an update was coming to the vehicle and that this would fix the problem. Despite my vehicle going in for service multiple times and having software updates installed each time, none of them provided a lasting solution. Even so, the possibility that this is a chronic malfunction isn't being acknowledged, and it isn't being openly admitted that a permanent solution hasn't been found.
When I looked into similar complaints, I saw that there are many users experiencing the same CarPlay problem as me. Despite this, I've experienced firsthand that the brand isn't standing behind this issue, isn't acknowledging the problem, and isn't offering a solution that would satisfy the customer.
What I expect from Skoda is for the CarPlay disconnection problem I'm experiencing in my 2023 Kodiaq to now be recognized as a chronic malfunction and fully resolved, and for me to be given a permanent, clear solution. I am requesting that my problem be definitively solved, without being dragged out further and without being stalled with repeated service visits.
