Sinbo Hair Straightener Caught Fire and Smoked After Few Uses

November 9, 2025 1:47 PM23

On June 21, 2025, my wife purchased a Sinbo brand hair straightener. The product was delivered to me on June 25, 2025, and I have the invoice (Invoice No: ada2025000166808). I have used the product fewer than five times in total. During the last use, as soon as I plugged it in, the device emitted fire and smoke. I was genuinely terrified at that moment, there was a risk of fire, and since then, I have developed a fear of using electrical appliances. After the incident, I contacted Sinbo via Instagram, and although they said I would be called back, no one ever responded. I have screenshots of all the messages. This situation poses a serious safety hazard and causes great inconvenience to customers. I request that the product be examined, the payment refunded, and a proper explanation provided. I will also be reporting this issue to the Consumer Arbitration Board.
