Siemens Refund Delayed After Order Cancellation - No Return
I purchased a product worth ₺105,000 from a Siemens store on November 1 and exercised my right of withdrawal the next day, canceling the order. However, the refund has been significantly delayed, and as of November 30, it still has not been issued, causing me serious hardship. Despite repeatedly calling customer service and the store, I realized that the refund process had not actually been initiated and was being unlawfully delayed. I have been forced to pay installments for products I did not receive, suffered financial loss, and my entire financial planning has been disrupted. Although 27 days have passed since my refund request, the process appears to have been deliberately postponed until the end of the month, creating the impression that Siemens is intentionally delaying the refund and using my money. When I went to the store to speak with the owner, Mr. C**, to understand the reason for the delay, the person standing in for him implied that they needed “to make money” from the refund process because they had “made an effort,” which made the situation even more troubling. This statement is ethically unacceptable and clearly violates Consumer Rights. Although I legally exercised my right of withdrawal, I am effectively being punished. I find Siemens’ approach in this process unethical and unacceptable, and I condemn the prioritization of short-term profit over customer satisfaction. I was told, “we made an effort for you, so we need to make money from the refund,” which is highly inappropriate and dismissive of consumer rights. Since the legal 14-day refund period has been far exceeded and my refund still has not been issued, I request compensation for my financial loss, the immediate return of the full product amount, and a written explanation regarding this entire process.
35 days have passed since my refund request, and the refund has still not been made to my card. It is unacceptable that the company representative, whom I contacted via my personal phone to follow up on the process, is avoiding resolving the issue by blocking my communication. We have thus seen that Siemens' corporate oversight and sanction power over its own authorized dealer is insufficient. They claim that a refund request has been made to the bank, but the Reference Number that would allow me to track the transaction is not being shared. The company is deliberately prolonging the process. In light of these recent developments, I state that the verbal statement that the refund process has been forwarded to the bank is no longer valid, and I consider the lack of response to my request for a bank receipt as a deliberate stalling tactic. As of today, I am officially initiating the mandatory mediation process to recover all my financial losses and legal delay interest, and subsequently, I am completing my preparations to file a lawsuit in the Consumer Court.
