Siemens Hob Electrical Cable Safety Hazard Requires Urgent Investigation

We have been using a Siemens built-in appliance set, including a hob and hood, purchased from the Siemens dealer in Ankara Ankamall, for over 10 years. About three weeks ago, while checking the hob and range hood connections due to short‑circuiting problems, I discovered a very serious and unacceptable safety issue with the hob’s electrical cable. The hob’s power cable had been installed in our home in a severed and joined state, with two separate pieces of cable connected and taped together instead of using a single intact cable. This cable is in direct contact with the natural gas pipe and clearly poses a severe risk of fire and explosion, endangering not only my family but everyone living in the building. This intervention was carried out without our knowledge and in a way that was kept hidden from us. In my opinion, selling and installing a product in this condition is completely contrary to safety rules and consumer rights. This situation has caused us serious distress and loss of trust. I request that Siemens urgently investigate the dealer and service personnel involved in this installation and take the necessary action against those responsible. In addition, I demand that Siemens compensate us for the damages we have suffered due to selling and installing such a defective and dangerous product, either through financial compensation or by replacing the relevant products with safe and properly installed ones. I expect this issue to be handled with the seriousness it deserves and resolved as soon as possible.
