I purchased a one-time 5-image download pack from Shutterstock.com to meet a specific short-term need. During the purchase process, there was no clear indication that the plan would automatically renew. After I downloaded the 5 images I needed, I was shocked to see that the package had been renewed without my approval, and $49 was charged to my account.
I have not used the renewed package at all and simply want to cancel and request a full refund. However, I’ve been unable to process the cancellation through the site. I tried contacting Shutterstock’s customer service, but the support phone number listed is not active.
This unauthorized renewal and lack of accessible customer support are extremely frustrating. I expect an immediate refund and cancellation of this renewed subscription. I only wanted a one-time purchase—not a recurring plan. Shutterstock must make their policies more transparent and help customers fix issues like this without making them chase answers.
