Shoppers Drug Mart Staff Doesn't Seem To Care About Their Customers Time
Today at around 11:00 a.m., I went to the Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy in Powell River, BC, for a prescription refill and to ask the pharmacist a question. When I approached the pharmacist, I explained that I needed a consult and he asked me to wait. While I was waiting, another customer came up with a question, and the pharmacist chose to help that customer first. He even left the counter to go into the aisle and show that person products, without saying anything to me like “I will be with you in a moment” or giving any indication that my time and request were also important. I stood there feeling ignored and as if my time had no value. I mentioned this to the pharmacy staff, but no one seemed to care or show any concern about how the situation was handled. Because of this, I decided to go next door to Save-On to have my prescriptions renewed and to get the information I needed instead of continuing to use this pharmacy. I am sharing this experience so that you are aware of how customers are being treated at this location and so that appropriate feedback can be given to the pharmacist and staff to prevent others from having a similar experience.
