Squeaking and noise while riding are common complaints among Segway-Ninebot owners. Most often, the problem comes from the braking system or worn parts.
🔹 Main causes:
Dirt on the brake pads (dust, sand, moisture).
Worn or misaligned brake pads.
Over-tightened brake cable.
Lack of lubrication in moving joints.
Play in the steering column or wheels.
🔹 How to fix it:
Clean the brake pads and discs with an alcohol solution or a special bicycle brake cleaner.
Check for wear — if the pads are too thin, they need replacement.
Adjust cable tension — it should not be overly tight.
Inspect moving parts (handlebar, bearings) and lubricate if necessary.
If the noise is metallic, the bearing may be worn or mounting bolts may be loose, requiring service inspection.
👉 Regular brake maintenance (cleaning and lubrication) helps prevent squeaking and extends the life of components.
