Segway Ninebot C2 Lite Delivers Only 6 km on a Full Charge

On April 15, 2026, I purchased a brand-new Segway Ninebot C2 Lite from the MediaMarkt store at Optimum Shopping Mall in Ankara for approximately $233. From the very first day, the scooter's battery performance has been far below expectations. Even with a full charge, the maximum distance I can travel is only about 6 km, making the scooter impractical for its intended use.

After purchasing the scooter, I contacted MediaMarkt about the issue, but I was told that they would not handle the problem and that I needed to take the scooter directly to Segway. I delivered the scooter to Segway at my own expense. The service center kept the scooter for approximately 14 days for testing and later informed me that no fault had been found. Despite this conclusion, the battery range problem remained exactly the same. Segway refused my request for a refund, while MediaMarkt declined to take responsibility for the product it sold and did not provide any meaningful assistance.

Although the scooter is still new, its extremely limited range prevents us from using it for its intended purpose. There is a significant difference between the advertised battery range and the actual performance we are experiencing in normal use. Because neither Segway nor MediaMarkt has provided a satisfactory solution, I have officially filed a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee as of today.

I request a full refund of the $233 paid for the Segway Ninebot C2 Lite. I also ask both Segway and MediaMarkt to thoroughly investigate this issue, acknowledge the product's performance deficiency, and resolve the inconvenience I have experienced in a fair and timely manner.
